Question 6 – Andilawe (Tanzania): How can I know God’s purpose or will for my life? How can I identify God’s calling and assignment for my life? How can I get acquainted and know the voice of God?
Answer 6: Well, questions like this keep coming. It’s important that you first and foremost know the Word of God. You’ve got to study the Word of God. Now, that doesn’t mean you’ve got to know the whole Bible from beginning to the end, but you see, get acquainted with the author of the Bible and that’s the Holy Spirit. If you ever want to know the voice of the Holy Spirit [really], you’ve got to know his writings. As you study the word of God – the Bible - you get acquainted with Him. He’s the author of the scriptures. The more acquainted you are with his message, the easier it’ll be for you to know what is his will and purpose for you. So that’s the way; get acquainted with the written word, and you will understand the leading of the Holy Spirit, who is the author of the written word. That’s the best way. That’s the best way, because that’ll help you stir your spirit to the consciousness of the Holy Spirit. Alright!
