Episode 8 :: Prayer/Words of Knowledge

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Prayer: I want to pray for you. Expect a miracle right now.

In the Name of Jesus, I pray for you to be well – to be sound and healthy. I command sickness to leave your body, the disease to go. I break the power of the devil off of your mind. I command those pains to seize completely, the tumor to leave, to disappear, in the Name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, be healed!

I pray for your bones to be healed, for your blood to be cleansed.

Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank You. Thank You.

Words of Knowledge: I see a blood vessel that’s blocked, and the healing is taking place right now. In the Name of Jesus, be healed! Be healed! Be healed of that heart condition, in the Name of Jesus.

Be healed right now. Something’s happening to your chest region – someone is being healed in the chest. Someone’s being healed in your chest.

I see that someone else who’s had pneumonia is being healed.  The Spirit of God is moving through your body. You can literally feel a movement through your body, like a warm glow; you’re healed in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Thank you Lord.

There’s a tumor in the ear - someone’s got a tumor in the ear - and that tumor’s gone from you now. You’re healed! It previously affected your hearing; you had trouble hearing, you could only hear faintly because of that tumor. It’s gone now and you can hear clearly; that tumor is gone. You go back to the doctor again, and they will not find that tumor. You can hear clearly; you’re healed. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you for this miracle.

I pray for your finances, I pray, whatever miracle it is you want, receive that miracle right now, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

And this week, until the next webcast, I tell you, you’ve got a miracle waiting for you.
There’s a miracle waiting for you. You got a miracle in your job, and if you had a problem with your pregnancy, you also have a miracle this very week. And I can see that there are some of you who would receive a promotion, even this week. That miracle is coming for you this week. Believe for it; it will happen to you.

God bless you!

Episode 8 :: Quick Vote Question on The Christian and Lottery

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
Quick Vote Question of the Week:

We gave you several options:

  1. The Christian and Politics: Is it scriptural for a Christian to engage in politics, especially in nations where politics is corrupt?
  2. The Christian Polygamist: What does someone do if he was married to two or three women before he got saved? Does he keep the first wife and divorce the other two, or does he continue with all three of them. [You can discuss this on the blog]
  3. The Christian and Healing: As Christians, we’re not meant to be sick, but what does a Christian do if he/she has been prayed for healing and receives it, but the situation remains the same in the physical?

Now, what you chose was “The Christian and Lottery”: Is it right for a Christian to play the lottery?

Wonderful! Now, how come a lot of you were interested in a lottery? It shows you’re interested in getting more money. I’d like to explain the lottery to you, because I realize that a lot of times many equate the lottery with gambling. I’d read to you some of the differences in the operation of a lottery, so you can understand it.

Episode 8 :: Question 7 on Giving Up One's Child for Adoption

Question 7 – Arehone (UK): Dear Pastor Chris, is it right for a Christian to give up her child for adoption even though she was raped? What does the Word say concerning this?

Answer 7: Well, to give up one’s child for adoption is not wrong, but you have to make sure you’re giving up the child for adoption by the right people, who can bring that child up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. For example, Hannah in the Bible actually gave up her child for adoption to the priest, Eli. Samuel was adopted by the priest; she gave her son to the Lord. And so, that was an adoption; so, there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s “who’s going to take care of this child?” that’s what really matters. Sometimes, someone can have a child without having the…biological ability to give birth should not be equated with the psychological, mental and emotional ability to raise the child. So, someone could have a child that she can’t take care of. And so, if that child is given up for adoption, it’s okay. But, like I said, it’s important who’s adopting the child, because the future of that child matters, and you would be held responsible for who you gave your child to for adoption.

Episode 8 :: Question 6 on Overcoming Arrogance

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Question 6 – Lebo (UK): Dear Pastor Chris, I just want to find out how to overcome arrogance with God’s help. I’ve been seen as arrogant and would like to dismiss it from my life and personality.

Answer 6: That’s beautiful! I think the very fact that you want to get rid of it is the beginning of your victory over it. Here, I’ll read God’s word to you beginning with James Chapter 1, from verse 22: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” [James 1:22] Be ye doers of the word; in other words, God wants us to act His word – act His word/do His word. Be what it says we are; act that way. Whatever He calls us, we answer, and act that way. Okay! Now, Ephesians 5 from verse 1: “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children [imitators of God as beloved children]; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor.” [Ephesians 5:1-2] Now, the key to this is walking in love. If you walk in love, you cannot, at the same time, be arrogant. So, learn to walk in love; that’s the beginning.

Now, I’m going to read to you from Galatians Chapter 5 from verse 22: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,[verse 23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” [Galatians 5:22] It says “…the fruit of the spirit…” - that means the product of the recreated human spirit. It’s not talking about the spirit of God; it’s talking about the human spirit –the born again spirit. When you’re born again, there’re certain things that come, packaged in your spirit. These are now natural to you, the new life that you have in Christ and he gives us a list here; he says, “the fruit of the Spirit is love, [it begins with love, so you got love inside you] joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Now, to be arrogant is to walk in the flesh. Let me read that to you; if you go upward to a verse 19-21, in the same chapter, “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” [Galatians 5:19-21] See that? So, arrogance is of the flesh and the Bible says, the fruit of the Spirit is different. So, you can walk in love, walk in joy and in peace and be longsuffering, and be gentle with goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. So, all of this you can cultivate in your spirit, because they’re already in your spirit. Now, you can groom them by walking in love. So, from today, declare that there’s no arrogance in your spirit. You say to yourself “I have no arrogance; I refuse to be arrogant. I will not be arrogant, but I will walk in love; I will walk in love.” And you decide that and you’ll see the result in your life.
